As a Senior Network Engineer, you will be a hands-on technical leader capable of designing, deploying, and managing networks of varying complexities. This is a customer-facing role requiring you to evaluate network topologies and configurations, suggest optimizations, and make necessary corrections. You will also be responsible for creating design and solution documents.
Responsibilities:
Network Design and Deployment:
- Design, size, and deploy network infrastructures for various environments.
- Evaluate existing network setups and recommend improvements.
- Create detailed design and solution documents based on new requirements.
Network Management and Troubleshooting:
- Manage and troubleshoot L2 networks.
- Configure and maintain static routing and BGP.
- Handle Nexus VPC and Fortigate Firewalls (preferred).
- Utilize tools like IPSLA and Netflow for network performance monitoring.
Customer Engagement:
- Interact with customers to understand their network requirements and provide appropriate solutions.
- Engage in technical discussions with senior managers and technical heads.
- Assist in the adoption of emerging technologies and trends.
Documentation and Optimization:
- Create and maintain SoP's (Standard Operating Procedures) and PnP (Policy & Procedure) documents.
- Identify new tools to automate and simplify daily tasks.
- Review existing infrastructure to identify areas for optimization and improvement.
Required Skillsets:
- Static routing and BGP.
- Probing and troubleshooting L2 networks.
- Route map and Prefix list configuration.
- IPSLA and Netflow knowledge.
- Multi-site LAN + WAN design and deployment.
- Good communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to engage in technical discussions with senior managers and technical heads.
