Role Summary & Role Description
As a Messaging Platform Engineer, you will be working in a fast paced environment in a team of highly skilled engineers responsible for leading platform engineering, design, and implementation of next generation messaging infrastructure. You will also be expected to assist and act as final level of support for the production services supported by the team.
As Messaging Engineer You Will
- Design, Engineer Messaging Platforms across the enterprise.
- Write code to automate tasks ( request processing, product installations, health checks, proactive monitoring, alerting, reporting, predictive analytics )
- Create stubs for sender & receiver or producers & consumer applications for helping onboard applications from different languages/platforms
- Design monitoring solutions for the platforms and baseline statistics reporting
- Work on Integration between Messaging platforms - for example MQ to Kafka connectors and Kafka to DB connectors
- Assist in the design and engineering of our Messaging platforms on a Public Cloud (Azure, AWS Cloud) using Ansible, Terraform, Python
- Perform optimization and tuning of Messaging Platforms including State Street's Interchange Messaging platform, IBM MQ Series platform and Kafka platforms
- Strive to provide highly resilient Messaging systems using the latest high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) technology solutions
- Work on creating best practices, standards, Integration patterns and on-boarding process automation
- Ability to work with development teams to understand usage pattern and provide solutions
- Identify risks and remediate audit findings.
- Implementation of new feature using Infrared 360(MQ and Kafka Monitoring tool)
These Skills Will Help You Succeed In This Role
- You will have 10 to 12 years of experience
- Ability to write robust, fault tolerant, well tested code
- C/C++ coding experience
- Experience with programming languages like Python and related Automation.
- Experience with use of Source Code Control System like GitHub
- Experience with IBM MQ RDQM implementation on-prem or on a public cloud.
- Experience with Confluent Kafka platform on-prem or on a public cloud
- Experience with Messaging products running on RHEL Linux or other Unix platform
- Experience with scripting and orchestration - Puppet / Ansible / Terraform / Shell
- Experience with finding root cause for problems with applications using Kafka Messaging or IBM MQ Messaging technology.
- Experience with tuning software systems
- Experience with supporting software/applications

Work Schedule
Hybrid Working (2 3 days at office) This could change as per Organization mandates.
Schedule: (3:00 p.m. - 12:00 a.m.) OR (2:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m.) (IST)
Location: Bangalore or Hyderabad only (If outstation, candidate must relocate)
