THE ROLE
- Keep up to date on trends and innovations in the market, understand market dynamics and correlate how to gain advantage and mitigate risk
- Develop product as per price hierarchy of the category, initiate and propose new ideas to create right value within the product for our customer and proactively address challenges with possible solutions
- Build strong partnership with all the relevant teams across the business and engage with and influence all key stakeholders.
- Communicate with Category, Design and quality team, and suppliers on technical issues and problem resolution
- Capable of working with suppliers across the globe, unlock suppliers true potential to source products as per strategy.
- Can negotiate for mutual outcomes and development of strategic partnership and build both short term and long term plans with suppliers
- Product costing and negotiation that maximize the margin and ensures transparency
- Manage supplier relationships and track supplier's performance to ensure that critical path timeframes are met.
- Monitor production orders, and maintain a close understanding of the shipment schedule to ensure the flow of production and shipment on time.
- Regularly coordinate with the supplier and team to guarantee timely resolution of risks and meet essential milestone dates for approval actions and production.
- Providing clear guidance, fostering a coaching culture and creating personalized development plans to enhance overall team capabilities.
- Role model the desired behaviors and values, demonstrating strong work ethic in hybrid model, fostering a positive and collaborative environment.
WHO YOU ARE
- 4-6 years of overall experience in sourcing/merchandising.
- Thorough understanding about market competition on the retail space and ability to create ideas and offers to stay ahead in competition
- Excellent product knowledge and clear understanding of relevant manufacturing processes
- Good command of both spoken and written English in order to communicate well with our key stakeholders .
- Extremely strong in data management, ability to create relevant report and insights
- Demonstrated supply and stakeholder management skills with the ability to work independently
- Knowledge of sustainability
- Knowledge and experience in PLMS systems would be an advantage.
