Job Description:

As a Senior Merchandiser, you will be responsible for handling all aspects of merchandising, focusing specifically on leather goods such as bags and wallets. You will work independently, dedicated to a single customer account allocated to you. Your role will involve coordinating with various departments internally and ensuring smooth operations throughout the merchandising process.

Education/Skills Required:

• Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com), preferably from FDDI or NIFT, with specialized knowledge in leather and product design.
• Strong operational knowledge of leather goods manufacturing processes.
• Proficiency in leather goods designing and related software applications.
• Exceptional follow-up skills to ensure timely execution of tasks and orders.
• Fluent spoken and written English communication skills.
• Proficiency in preparing product cost sheets and adept at price negotiation.
• Possess a soft-spoken demeanor and a pleasant personality to effectively coordinate with all departments within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manage all aspects of merchandising for leather goods, including but not limited to procurement, production planning, and delivery coordination.

2. Utilize strong operational knowledge to oversee and optimize the manufacturing process for leather goods.

3. Employ leather goods designing knowledge and related software to create innovative and marketable products.

4. Maintain excellent follow-up skills to track orders, resolve issues, and ensure customer satisfaction.

5. Prepare and analyze product cost sheets, and negotiate prices with suppliers to maximize profitability.

6. Collaborate effectively with internal departments such as design, production, and quality assurance to ensure alignment and efficiency.

7. Act as a liaison between the company and the allocated customer account, providing exceptional service and meeting all client requirements.

8. Stay updated with industry trends, market demands, and competitor activities to inform merchandising strategies.
