JD_MEP To work closely with architects and other stakeholders to design mechanical electrical and plumbing systems that meet the specific needs and requirements of a building.
To analyse the building's layout and purpose to determine the most appropriate system design.
To select the appropriate mechanical, electrical equipment such as HVAC units, pumps generators, electrical panels, lighting fixtures etc.
To work closely with structural engineers and other professionals to ensure that their systems integrate seamlessly with the overall building design and structure.
To provide cost estimates for the installation of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems, helping project manager and clients to budget appropriately.
During the construction phase, MEP engineers may be involved in overseeing the installation of systems to ensure that the work is carried out correctly and meets the design specifications.
To design systems that are energy efficient and environment friendly and reducing the buildings environmental impact and operational cost.
After the building is operational, MEP engineers may be involved in its ongoing maintenance and upgrades to ensure that the systems continue to operate efficiently and reliably.
