About The Team
At Nutanix, you'll be a part of the Sizer team, a group of 14 dedicated individuals located across various regions, including back-end, front-end, full-stack, QA engineers, and an Engineering Manager. The team thrives on a flat hierarchy that fosters transparent communication, idea exchange, and a collaborative atmosphere that empowers each member to grow and succeed.
You will report to the Director, SaaS Engineering at Nutanix. The work setup is hybrid, allowing flexibility between remote work and in-office collaboration, with an expectation to be in the office 2-3 days a week. As for travel requirements, there are none, allowing you to focus on delivering exceptional results in a supportive and dynamic work environment.
Your Role
- You will be part of the implementation team responsible for building innovative cloud products.
- Writing efficient, scalable, and clean code including both backend and frontend
- Developing features with Java and related technologies
- Translate requirements and user stories into design specifications and solid code.
- Integrating with a third-party system via RESTful/SOAP APIs.
- Able to demonstrate creating well-architected REST APIs
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in production and non-production environments.
What You Will Bring
- Bachelor and/or Master in computer science OR related field of study.
- 10+ years experience with BE development of Cloud/SaaS Applications.
- Strong Software Engineering and Cloud background is required.
- Proficiency in Java
- Good problem-solving skills and hunger to learn new technologies.
- Strong in Data structures and Algorithms and Analytical Skills
- Experience with developing and managing cloud-computing environments like Amazon EC2, Azure, and Heroku is a real plus.
- Experience with SQL DBs
- Knowledge of JavaScript and familiarity with one or more JavaScript frameworks such as React, Angular, and Backbone.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and multi-cloud environments like AWS, Azure
- Robust web application technology experience
