Job Description

We're looking for a SaaS-savvy engineer who is skilled in cross-functional engineering tasks from patching, scripting, development, environment management, technical writing, product management and release management. Alignment, tracking, and follow up to drive delivery of cross functional requirements for product GA including Services and Support readiness, Security Assessments, Training, DevOps, Cloud Hosting, etc.

Career Level - IC3

Dev Ops and Release Readiness

  • Ensuring the development team is addressing results from security scans in a timely manner, assisting with resolutions
  • Proactively working with the development team for third party needs
  • Communicating updates related to release milestones both across teams as well as up to leadership
  • Assisting with release rollout
  • Providing timely updates on release deliverables
  • Creating new metrics and reporting to help the team mitigate problems and drive towards positive change
  • Implement solutions that reduce manual touch points, increase service reliability, improve operation efficiencies and adherence to compliance

Risk and problem Management

  • Identify risks and clearly communicate them to program/project stakeholders.
  • Manage problems and delays unblocking or finding someone who can or escalating to leadership for assistance.
  • Identify problem statements and move from those to appropriate and data driven proposals, recommendations, and solutions. Then drive alignment across all stakeholders
  • Work with development teams to tease out implementation details and identify roadblocks before they occur.

Dependencies Management

  • Work with cross functional and product teams to identify dependencies within the release and across teams and track them.
  • Drive schedule alignment across teams as required to deliver products to the Cloud.

Security, Third Party Software Management

  • Ensure the development team is addressing results from security scans in a timely manner, assisting with resolutions
  • Communicating updates both across teams as well as up to leadership
  • Proactively working with the development team for third party needs

Experience

Five years of project/program management, release management, SDLC, security or related experience preferred. Experienced using JIRA, Confluence and Office or similar tools. Skilled in preparing and presenting slide presentations, and leading conference calls with distributed teams. Comfortable driving teams to deliver results, speaking up, and challenging the status quo when it doesn't make sense.

Expected Skills & Qualifications

  • At a minimum Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Engineering
  • 5+ years of experience in software development and/or software release management in SaaS
  • Familiarity working with Oracle BI products, Jira, Confluence
  • Sound knowledge of CICD and DevOps Concepts, Linux, Infrastructure automation and Networking
  • Ability to learn rapidly and operate independently in complex situations and across teams with a calm sense of urgency
  • Excellent communication skills with all levels of management
  • Solid analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Able to write, communicate and present clearly and effectively
  • Bonus points for knowledge in security related task for software development, such as 3rd party library approvals
