Company Overview:

Temperate Technologies provides farmers with access to cost-effective and low-power cold storage solutions to increase the shelf-life of fruits and vegetables, and in the process, increase their incomes.

Our solutions consume up to 85% less energy than traditional refrigeration-based cold storage solutions and are based on a new low-power cooling technology called dew point cooling. Due to low-power usage, our solutions are especially suitable for off-grid solar-powered installations. We provide solutions for short-term storage of daily-use fruits and vegetables and long-term storage of onions.

Our solutions help reduce food waste, increase farmer incomes, increase food security and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

Job Role Overview:

We are looking to hire a senior design engineer with prior experience in plastic molding techniques such as vacuum forming (thermoforming) and injection molding.

The job role involves taking ideas from R&D, through design and prototyping to production. You will work with other engineers within and outside the company, and will be expected to manage projects independently.

Qualifications:

• B.Tech. or B.E. in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
• At least 3 years on-job experience
• Prior experience with vacuum forming and injection molding
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively to find solutions
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively
• Strong communication skills

Compensation: We provide a competitive pay package according to experience and performance. The salary range is 5.5-6.1 LPA plus benefits. Experienced candidates can expect a higher salary package according to experience. We also provide stock grants to most employees.
