Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Job Responsibilities-

1. Involved in the complete product design process from research to mass production.

2. Brainstorm and ideate the engineering details of the kazam products and services.

3. Use design software to develop 3d models and drawings of new products.

4. Utilize expertise in plastic design and DFM principles to optimize component design

for manufacturability and assembly.

5. Demonstrate strong team handling and soft skills to effectively collaborate with

cross-functional teams and provide leadership within the engineering department.

6. Come up with cost-effective solutions by considering mass production.

7. Research about latest engineering practices and contribute to the industrial design team.

8. Apply proficiency in manufacturing tool knowledge to streamline production processes, including familiarity with Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) documentation.

9. Keeping up with the deadlines.

10. Documentation of each and every step during the process in a good presentable manner.

11. Communicate and monitor the new designs with other departments.

12. Conducting feasibility studies, creating prototypes, and testing designs to ensure they meet performance and safety requirements.

13. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure product design meets customer needs, including manufacturing, quality, and marketing teams

14. Developing and maintaining project schedules, budgets, and product documentation.

15. Analyzing and interpreting data to identify trends and patterns, and using that information to improve product design.

16. Conducting research on new materials, manufacturing processes, and technologies to incorporate into product design.

17. Ensuring that products meet regulatory and compliance standards, such as environmental and safety requirements.

18. Participating in product testing and troubleshooting to identify and resolve design issues.

19. Communicating technical information to customers, suppliers, and internal teams in a clear and concise manner.

20. Continuously improve product designs and processes to optimize performance, quality, and cost-effectiveness.

21. Apply experience or knowledge in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) flow analysis

to optimize the thermal performance of the EV charging station and products.

22. Strong in teamwork and collaborating with other departments such as procurement, installation, production, marketing, and clients.

Required Qualification

1. Bachelor/Masters in mechanical engineering/ Tool and die design/Industrial engineering/Design Engineering.

2. Minimum of 4 to 5 years of experience in mechanical design and product development.

3. Experience in automotive field Research and development.

4. Expertise in plastic design and sheet metal Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles.Most important.

5. Strong team handling and soft skills, essential for effective collaboration and leadership.

6. Proficiency in manufacturing tool knowledge, including familiarity with PPAP documentation.

7. Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo, Ansys, Catia, Nx Cad, or any ) and surface modeling capabilities.

8. Experience or knowledge in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) flow analysis, particularly relevant for optimizing aerodynamics in vehicle design.

9. Requires knowledge necessary to perform the job function such as an understanding of the engineering processes, DFx (Design for Excellence) engineering principles, product development process, value engineering, manufacturability analysis, product structure, bill of materials, product safety requirements, and material handling.
