General Description
- Design Engineer for Turbine
- Execute Basic & detail design of Turbine for Large Hydro & Service Rehab projects
WHAT YOU'LL DO: Write the purpose for which the job exists
- Basic & Detail design of Turbine assemblies and components.
- Layouts, Drawings, BoMs, Purchase specifications, Calculations, Analysis
- Continuous improvement of product & processes, optimisation
- Technical troubleshooting at shop and site
- Handling customer queries and approvals for Indian and International projects
- Design collaboration and reviews with technical experts in parent company at Europe
YOU'RE GOOD AT: Write the details of the core area of expertise required to possess by the candidate.
- Solid Mechanical & Hydraulic engineering fundamentals in Hydro Turbine/ Heavy engineering components
- Knowledge & experience of using techniques, CAD, Analytical Calculation tools & processes (NX, SAP, Standards, Calc. tools etc.).
- Knowledge & experience of Structural design, procurement, Quality control & Manufacturing aspects.
- Astute designer's aptitude & approach
- Knowledge & experience of dealing with external agencies.
YOU BRING: Experience & Qualifications (Provide information about knowledge required to delve into this role)
- 10+ years of experience in mechanical design of Hydro Turbine Design/ Heavy Engineering Industrial components/ equipments using 3D CAD software (NX and TeamCenter preferable)
- Sound knowledge of mechanical engineering design concepts
- Understanding of materials and manufacturing processes involved
- Proactive, avid learner, team player, good communication ability
YOU'LL WORK WITH: Provide details pertaining to the reporting structure (Direct/Indirect).
- Working with Turbine Design lead based on projects
- Reporting directly to Head of Department
