Senior Manager - Sourcing

The Manager Sourcing for API, Pharma Intermediates & Active Ingredients in a non-manufacturing export company is responsible for developing and implementing sourcing strategies for active pharmaceutical. He/She will work closely with internal stakeholders such as sales, logistics, and regulatory affairs teams to ensure timely delivery of high - quality products at competitive prices.

• Identify and evaluate potential suppliers to ensure a reliable supply of high-quality products.

• Negotiate pricing, terms and conditions with suppliers to achieve cost savings.

• Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of products and efficient issue resolution.

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure product delivery is done as desired by the client

• Managing costings of the products sourced and making offers to the clients.

• Attending exhibitions to meet the existing / potential vendors / clients.

KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES:

• Strong negotiation and communication skills to effectively deal with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

• Analytical and problem-solving skills to evaluate supplier capabilities and identify opportunities for cost savings.

• Good understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes and EU regulations for pharmaceuticals

• Attention to detail to ensure that all sourced products meet quality and safety standards.

• Projects management skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.

• Team management skills to lead and motivate a team of sourcing professionals.

• Proficiency in MS Office and other sourcing tools.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• MSc. Organic Chemistry - Must

EXPERIENCE:

At least 7 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management in the pharmaceutical industry.

Experience in sourcing APIs, intermediates, and other raw materials used in pharmaceutical manufacturing is preferable.

Good knowledge of EU regulations for pharmaceuticals will be an added advantage

Good written and verbal communication skills.
