Role Description
The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in overseeing the planning, execution, and successful completion of our solar power plant construction projects. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in solar energy project construction, project management, and team leadership. This position will report directly to the senior management team and will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and with the highest quality standards. He will have experience in managing a project from start to finish. This candidate will be able to create a plan of action which will consider a fixed timeline and evaluate risks. This individual should also have experience managing people and be an effective communicator.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Planning and Execution: Lead the development of project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation for solar power plant construction projects.
- Construction Management: Oversee all aspects of construction operations, including site preparation, equipment installation, civil works, and commissioning.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure construction activities adhere to safety and quality standards, regulatory requirements, and environmental compliance.
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of construction professionals, contractors, and subcontractors, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
- Budget and Cost Control: Monitor project budgets, control costs, and make data-driven decisions to optimize project financial performance.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues throughout the construction process to ensure project success.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with Clients, cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, and operations, to ensure seamless project execution.
- Reporting: Provide regular project status updates and performance reports to senior management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Proven track record of at least 12-16 years in leading Solar power plant construction projects.
- Understanding & grip on Contracts law & execution as per the contracts
- Strong understanding of solar energy technology, construction methods, and industry best practices.
- Exceptional project management skills, including budget management and scheduling.
- Proficiency in construction management software and tools.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Relevant certifications in project management and construction management are a plus.
