Role Title: Senior Manager: Sub-Module Engineer (SME) Software integration (Time plan & Feature)
Purpose of the Role:
The purpose of the Time Plan & Feature Engineer role in software integration for the automotive sector is to strategically plan and coordinate the integration timeline of software features.
This involves developing comprehensive time plans, prioritizing feature integration, and ensuring alignment with project milestones.
Job Responsibilities:
Develop detailed and realistic time plans for the software integration process, aligning with overall project timelines and milestones.
Continuously monitor and update time plans to accommodate changes, challenges, and evolving project requirements.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to prioritize software features based on project goals, customer needs, and dependencies.
Define and communicate feature prioritization strategies to ensure a systematic integration approach.
Collaborate with project managers and team leads to ensure efficient utilization of available resources.
Identify and manage dependencies between different software features, modules, and development teams.
Develop strategies to mitigate risks associated with dependencies and minimize impact on the integration timeline.
Collaborate with software development teams to plan the integration of individual features into the overall software system.
Regularly communicate status updates to relevant stakeholders and address any deviations from the planned schedule.
Coordinating with various stakeholders, including software developers, project managers, quality assurance teams, and product owners, to facilitate seamless collaboration and communication.
Desired Candidate Profile:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automotive or a related field.
5+ years of work experience in milestones, and provides key dates using MPP.
Project management experience (MPP), ability to effectively plan, execute.
Work with the ECU owners on the FROP (Feature roll out plan) of every ECU and ensure the implementation
Demonstrated expertise in developing comprehensive time plans, ensuring adherence to timelines and milestones.
Experience in overseeing the implementation and integration of software features, and alignment with project goals.
Identifying and managing risks associated and implementing strategies to mitigate.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and practices.
Create technical documentation related to time plans, feature implementation, and integration processes.
Experience into decompose high-level features into smaller, functional components or modules and analyse the impact on ECUs.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to convey technical information effectively.
Familiarity with automotive industry standards and regulations ASPICE, ISO26262.
Skills & Competencies:
Good understanding of Automotive embedded systems (ECU).
Understanding of MPP project planning tool.
FROP (Feature roll out plan)
Feature decomposition
Risk assessment and mitigation planning
Agile, JIRA
