We are seeking a skilled and experienced Sr Manager to help oversee the software development of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) and ELT (Extract, Load, Transform) jobs for our data warehouse software development team.

This role is critical as we initiate a migration from our legacy SSIS technology stack to cutting-edge cloud technologies, including Azure, Databricks, and Snowflake. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in data engineering, cloud technologies, and team leadership.

Software engineering is the application of engineering to the design, development, implementation, testing and maintenance of software in a systematic method. The roles in this function will cover all primary development activity across all technology functions that ensure we deliver code with high quality for our applications, products and services and to understand customer needs and to develop product roadmaps.

These roles include, but are not limited to analysis, design, coding, engineering, testing, debugging, standards, methods, tools analysis, documentation, research and development, maintenance, new development, operations and delivery. Primary Responsibilities:

• Provides leadership to and is accountable for the performance of managers and/or senior level professional staff
• Impact of work is most often at the operational or local business unit or market level
• Oversee Software Development: Lead the development and maintenance of ETL and ELT jobs, ensuring efficient data processing and integration
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with team members to create effective data models that support business reporting and data analytics
• Guidelines and Standards: Refine and extend software development guidelines and standards to ensure best practices are followed
• Testing and Data Quality: Ensure rigorous testing and data quality measures are in place to maintain the integrity and reliability of data
• Migration Leadership: Drive the migration from legacy SSIS technology stack to new cloud technologies (Azure, Databricks, Snowflake), ensuring a smooth transition
• Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment
• Stakeholder Communication: Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand

Required Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• Experience: 12+ years of experience in software development, with at least 3+ years in a lead role
• Technical Skills:
  
  • Solid experience with cloud technologies, particularly Azure, Databricks, and Snowflake
  • Experience in migrating from legacy systems to cloud platforms
  • Expertise in data modeling, SQL, and data warehousing concepts
  • Proficiency in ETL/ELT processes and tools, preferably SSIS

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in relevant cloud technologies (e.g., Azure, Databricks, Snowflake)
• Experience with Agile development methodologies
