The Senior Manager - Service Design is responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of service plans and driving the service design process. With a focus on creating best-of-breed service solutions, this role ensures that services meet quality and client satisfaction requirements.
What You'll Be Doing
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee the development of service plans.
- Drive service design efforts and ensure quality and client satisfaction.
- Deliver service training and communication to client-facing staff and internal stakeholders.
- Identify and define the market scope and core functional coverage for each service within the portfolio.
- Create prototypes and document internal service definitions for new service offers and capabilities.
- Facilitate ideation and design workshops to validate needs and identify solution designs.
- Apply core design principles and best practices in design thinking, scaled agile, ITIL, and security to develop service solutions.
- Develop and maintain a service contractual framework.
- Develop and maintain a service design process framework.
- Produce and maintain all service design documentation, including Service Design Reference Architecture (SDRAs).
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of service lifecycles and product management disciplines.
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong relationship management and collaboration skills.
- Proficiency in systems thinking and critical thinking.
- Ability to make logical and strategic decisions.
- Familiarity with IT operations and related technologies.
- Strong documentation and business requirements skills.
- Ability to engage with stakeholders and influence decision-making.
- Strong organizational and project management capabilities.
Required Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Management or equivalent qualification.
- Certified in Scaled Agile and Leading SAFe.
- ITIL Foundation Certificate V3 or equivalent.
- Certification in human-centered design/design thinking.
- Significant experience in a similar position within the technology industry.
- Track record of managing the implementation of new products or product lines.
- Experience managing service roadmaps.
