Job Synopsis:
The Senior Manager-QA will oversee all aspects of quality assurance within Unilog, ensuring our software products meet the highest standards of quality, reliability, and performance. This role involves strategic planning, team leadership, process improvement, and collaboration with other departments to deliver superior software solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Strategy:
Develop and implement a comprehensive QA strategy aligned with Unilog's business goals.
Lead, mentor, and manage the QA team, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement with a focus on FTR(First Time Right)
Collaborate with senior management to define and achieve quality objectives, with a significant emphasis on automation.
Create CoEs or teams focusing on Automation, Performance testing and for testing NFRs.Quality Assurance Management:
Oversee the design, implementation, and execution of test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
Ensure thorough testing of all software products, including functional, regression, performance, and security testing.
Implement and maintain automated testing frameworks and tools to enhance testing efficiency.Process Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process improvements and drive initiatives to enhance QA practices.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in software quality assurance.
Monitor and report on key quality metrics, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
Collaboration & Communication:
Work closely with product management, development, and operations teams to ensure seamless integration of QA processes.
Facilitate effective communication between QA and other departments to address quality issues promptly.
Act as a key point of contact for QA-related matters, both internally and with external stakeholders.Risk Management:
Proactively identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure product stability and reliability.
Conduct root cause analysis of defects and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor/Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
16-20 years of experience in software quality assurance, with at least 8 years in a leadership role in software product companies or captive center.
Proven track record of successfully managing QA teams and delivering high-quality software products.
Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes, including automated/performance/NFR testing.
Good knowledge on Open Source testing tools and frameworks.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
