Overview
The Senior Manager Production - Electronics plays a pivotal role in our organization by overseeing the production activities at our Pallikaranai location. This position is crucial for ensuring the seamless operation of our electronics manufacturing processes and the delivery of high-quality products to our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement production plans to meet quality and delivery targets
- Manage and optimize production processes and workflows
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
- Lead, mentor, and motivate production teams to achieve performance goals
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline production operations
- Monitor and analyze production KPIs to drive continuous improvement
- Oversee inventory management and procurement of production materials
- Implement cost-effective production strategies
- Resolve production issues and address root causes
- Drive initiatives to minimize waste and enhance efficiency
- Coordinate with the engineering team for new product introductions and production scale-ups
- Conduct regular performance evaluations of production staff
- Implement and maintain best practices for lean manufacturing
- Participate in budgeting and resource allocation discussions
- Stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field
- Proven experience (8+ years) in electronics production management
- Demonstrated knowledge of quality assurance standards and methodologies
- Strong understanding of supply chain management principles
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Proficiency in production planning and scheduling
- Experience with lean manufacturing and process optimization
- Ability to analyze production data and implement improvements
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proven track record of driving cost reduction and operational efficiency
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements in electronics manufacturing
- Capability to handle multiple projects and deadlines concurrently
- Proficient in MS Office and production management software
- Certification in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) is a plus
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
Desired Skills And Experience
- Deep knowledge of manufacturing and production processes and concepts preferably in Electrical & Electronic products
- Creative with the ability to use modern technology in the production process.
- Strong knowledge of ISO standards.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Strong presentation skills (written and oral).
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
- The ability to perform a multi-task job and adjust priorities as appropriate.
- Possess excellent time management skills. Be able to take the initiative to meet deadlines and the ability to prioritize workload with minimal supervision.
- Action and detail oriented, having a drive for success.
- The ability to work effectively in a team situation as well as independently.
- Must have a strong passion for product and process excellence and customer satisfaction.
- Minimum 5 Years experience in the Electronics Industry (Like Lighting Products, Appliances, Switches Assembly methods and procedures) strongly preferred.
