Job Description
- Product manager with 12 to 15 years of experience with the solar module manufacturing company.
- Product Strategy & Development
- Collaborating with key stakeholders like Strategy, Sales, Plant
- Leadership, research and development teams etc. to conceptualize and define new solar products based on market trends, customer needs, and technological advancements.
- Managing the product roadmap and underlying requirements from ideation to prototype to production and customer shipment.
- Product Development Lifecycle
- Developing and executing a comprehensive product strategy that aligns with the overall business goals and objectives.
- Defining the product roadmap and prioritizing features and enhancements based on business priorities.
- Clearly defining and documenting product requirements, specifications, and features based on market needs and business goals.
- Communicating requirements to the development team and ensuring that the final product meets customer expectations.
- Planning and executing product launches, including developing marketing strategies, pricing models, and sales enablement materials.
- Coordinating with sales teams to ensure a successful introduction of new products to the market.
- Staying abreast of regulatory requirements and standards related to solar products.
- Ensuring that products comply with relevant regulations and certifications.
Product Lifecycle Management
- Monitoring and managing the entire lifecycle of solar products, from introduction to eventual discontinuation or replacement.
- Making recommendations for product updates, enhancements, or end-of-life decisions based on market feedback and performance data.
- Conducting ongoing competitive analysis to stay informed about industry trends, competitor products, and emerging technologies.
- Using competitive insights to inform product positioning and differentiation strategies.
- Developing and managing product budgets, including cost projections, pricing strategies, and revenue forecasts.
- Monitoring product financial performance and making adjustments to ensure profitability.
Team management and development
- Lead and manage the product team later on, providing training, support, and performance feedback. Foster a collaborative and efficient working environment.
- Identify the right type of workforce and work with HR to deliver the plan
- Participate in recruitment process to identify the right talent at senior leadership positions within the team
- Engage with HR team as required for manpower planning, hiring and talent management requirements
- 12+ years in Solar Module Manufacturing - Operations/PPC/Strategy.
- Engineering degree with additional Business Management will be preferred qualification
