About The Role

Hiring Sr.Manager Primary Operations for our organization to manage MDC and Primary transportation. Managing logistics costs around 100 crores. Vendor Management- Risk Management and strategic focus to optimize costs and increase the throughput and have strong controls and compliance in place. The position will be based at Plant (Mehsana).

Operational Excellence & Efficiency

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of multiple large-scale warehouses Pan India, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping.
• Must have experience in managing Primary transport and leading initiatives to reduce freight cost.
• Implement best practices to optimize processes, reduce costs, and improve productivity.
• Implement process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
  
  

P/L And Financial Management

• Develop and manage budgets for warehousing and Primary transport operations, monitoring expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
• Analyze financial performance metrics to support strategic planning and decision-making
  
  

Team Management

• Lead and mentor a team of warehouse managers, supervisors, and staff across multiple locations.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and accountability.
  
  

Inventory Management

• Develop and implement inventory control procedures to maintain accurate stock levels and minimize discrepancies. Ensure compliance with inventory management best practices and regulatory requirements.
  
  

Quality Focus

• Delivering on customer quality and designing primary operations in lines with FSSAI requirement to maintain the product quality.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards, safety regulations, and industry certifications.
• Implement measures to maintain a safe working environment and prevent occupational hazards.
  
  

Technology And Systems

• Utilize data analytics to drive decision-making and improve operational efficiency.
• Evaluate and implement warehouse management systems (WMS), TMS and other technologies to streamline operations and improve data accuracy.
• Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in logistics technology.
  
  

Strategic Planning And Leadership

• Develop and execute strategic plans for Line Haul & warehousing operations aligned with organizational objectives.
• Provide leadership and direction to ensure efficient utilization of warehouse resources and space.
• Forecast and plan for future warehousing needs based on business growth and objectives.
  
  

Vendor And Stakeholder Management

• Collaborate with vendors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to optimize logistics and distribution networks.
• Build and maintain strong relationships to facilitate smooth operations and resolve issues promptly.
  
  

Sourcing of New Warehouse(s)

Project Management / New Project Implementation for successful Go-live.

About You

• Proven experience in a senior leadership role within warehousing and logistics operations, preferably in a large-scale environment. Experience in setting up / establishing new large-scale operations (Warehouses). Exposure to handling labor / IR environment across different states / locations to ensure no industrial disturbance or unrest.
• Good Analytical and data-oriented decision-making skills.
• 15+ Years of experience Preferably from Frozen Category- Having thorough experience in Primary Transportation and Warehousing
