About this role
We are looking for an experienced Mid Market Sales Manager to create, develop, and drive our B2B mid-market success. This new role is based in Mumbai, India and will manage a hybrid team of AE s all based in Mumbai.
This role will give you the opportunity to hire and shape a new team in our mid-market space (focusing on companies 1,000 - 5,000 employees in size). To be successful, you should pride yourself as a people leader first but have a strong process-oriented style as well as a positive attitude which you use to influence those around you.
What youll be doing
- Focus on our customers and strategically engage with them to achieve their desired outcomes
- Manage a team of Account Executives focused on new business sales in India
- Demonstrate your passion for coaching and developing employees through personal and professional mentorship
- Communicate job expectations with team members by planning, monitoring, and appraising individual sales results
- Focus on innovation of current best practices to serve the needs of the team and business as it grows
- Work cross-functionally with Sales/Business Development, Customer Success, Marketing, and Content to drive the business forward
- Collaborate with sales operations to identify technology, strategies, and processes to better achieve revenue goals Lead a sales-driven culture in a high-energy, fun, fast-paced environment
- Deliver accurate forecasts and manage pipeline
- Use data to make insightful decisions and improve processes
What you ll have
- 8+ years of sales management experience, preferably with a focus on the India region
- Experience in developing and rapidly growing new markets
- Experience with SaaS/subscription-based sales model ideally in the EdTech domain
- Strong drive for results, while retaining a focus on consistently delivering a great customer experience
- Proven track record of quota attainment both as an individual contributor and Manager
- Experienced in dealing with rapidly growing mid-market customers, understanding their buying cycles, and navigating through complex org structures
- Organizational agility; knowing how to get things done through formal and informal channels
- A love for hiring, developing, motivating, and retaining highly valued sales reps
- Exceptional skills in prospecting, discovery, presentation, buying behaviors, and overcoming objections
- A willingness to be hands-on in the sales process and support the team as a coach and advocate
- Proficiency in Salesforce.co m and other sales tools
- Great communication and presentation skills
