About the Organization:
The organization works in the area of skilling and livelihoods for underserved youth. This is a pioneering program with a strong PPP model, an agency-led approach to livelihoods and a vision of socio-economic transformation. They are run through a public-private partnership that empowers the Government, Corporates, NGOs and Citizens to work together towards changing lives. The provision of location and capital expenditure for their centers is taken care of by the Government. Corporates contribute through CSR funds to provide operational expenses. NGOs come on board to provide various skilling courses to the youth. With penetration in more than 400 of the 500 odd slum communities of Pune, the program has now expanded to other cities viz. PCMC, Dombivali, Aurangabad and also States viz. Delhi, Odisha and in Hyderabad.
About the role:
Looking for a Senior Manager - HR who will lead and execute our human resource
strategies. This pivotal role will have strategic direction, encompassing areas such as succession planning, talent management, organizational performance, training and development, and compensation. This position plays a pivotal role in enhancing the skills, knowledge, and capabilities of individuals within the NGO, ultimately contributing to the achievement of its mission and objectives.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Manage the execution of the HR Strategy and core areas of the HR department including
Recruitment, Employee Relations, Workforce Administration, Employee Engagement,
Payroll, Reward and Recognition et al.
- Strategic HR Planning: Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement HR
strategies that align with the organization's business objectives.
- Talent Acquisition and Recruitment: Forecasting talent requirements and
budgeting.
- Compensation and Benefits: Oversee the design and implementation of compensation
and benefits programs that attract, motivate, and retain employees.
- Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures that comply with applicable laws and regulations.
- The above is only an indicative list and other responsibilities include but not limited to working on Performance Management, Employee Relations and Employee Engagement, Learning and Development, HR Policy Development and Compliance.
Requirements
- 10+ years of progressive HR experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role.
Preferably experience in designing and managing learning and development programs,
preferably within the nonprofit or NGO sector.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate
effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated commitment to social impact, social justice, and the values of the NGO
sector.
- Experience working in cross-cultural contexts is a plus.
- Strong understanding of HR principles, practices, and employment laws.
- Sincerely passionate about L&D and making a change.
- Experience in talent management, performance management, and employee
engagement.
- Knowledge of change management principles and organizational development.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, manage
multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
