About Role:
At OnePlus we are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Individual to oversee the day-to-day operations of the general ledger accounting function. The Senior Manager will lead a team of accountants, ensuring the accurate and timely completion of tasks, adherence to accounting policies, and continuous process improvement. The ideal candidate has a strong background in general ledger accounting, excellent leadership abilities, and a keen eye for detail.
Role & responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the general ledger accounting function.
- Supervise and mentor a team of accountants, providing guidance and support to ensure timely and accurate completion of tasks.
- Perform and review complex general ledger account reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies or issues identified.
- Ensure adherence to company accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Participate in the month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparing and reviewing journal entries and financial statements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as finance, tax, and audit, to support their information requirements and provide accurate financial data.
- Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the general ledger function.
- Stay updated with changes in accounting standards and regulations to ensure compliance and implement necessary adjustments.
- Lead internal and external audits and make sure it completed before due dates with minimum remarks/observations.
- Support special projects, such as system implementations or process enhancements, and actively contribute to their successful completion.
Preferred candidate profile
- A candidate should be a professional CA with 8-10 years of experience
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems. Experience with SAP or Oracle is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Sound understanding of internal controls, risk management, and compliance practices.
