Position Overview
The Solutions and Bid Management Lead is responsible for leading the development of innovative solutions for clients, managing the end-to-end bid process, and supporting strategic initiatives to align with the organization's long-term goals. This role focuses on compelling and competitive bids, while also contributing to overall business strategy by identifying opportunities for growth, product development, and market positioning.
Solutioning & Bid Management (40%) -
- Lead the hands-on development of solutions for EXL's clients in the Payment Services business unit.
- Conduct holistic analysis of client's business needs and current operations to provide in-depth business and technical strategy in a working, scalable solution that is best suited to the client's unique operating model.
- Evaluate new solution partnerships - Develop and present the business case for new products or modifications of existing products.
- Review RFI/RFPs and other client material to gain complete understanding of client requirements
- Assemble a core pursuit team to prepare a winning bid; manage virtual teams to assemble inputs from a variety of stakeholders, ensuring they are fully briefed; understand the client bid requirements/key deliverables and develop a win plan for each opportunity
- Liaise with key members of the existing project teams to obtain the information required to compile the bid to develop unique, compelling client value propositions and proposal messaging within agreed timelines.
- Work closely with the pursuit team (Sales, Delivery, Solution, Product, CEM, Legal, Pricing) to resolve open items during the proposal and pitch presentation process; facilitate strategy discussion with the pursuit team to identify client-centered value propositions and carve out EXL differentiators.
- Gather and organize information and relevant resources necessary to formulate winning executive summaries that speak to why us, and not the competition.
- Work closely with graphic designers to create optimal visuals and graphics in accordance with the company brand guidelines that support messaging, including cover designs and other graphics and illustrations.
- Perform final reviews of proposals and pitch presentation drafts along with the sales team.
- Assist with the development of templates, improved systems, and processes for measuring bid success.
- Carry out content management activities, including collecting and updating content for proposal database and extracting best practice content.
Growth Office (10%) -
- Create collaterals while working with marketing, sales, and growth office.
- Proactively position these collaterals and artefacts in client pitches, internal and client presentations.
Program Management (30%)-
- Efficient project management of RFI/RFP submissions and other clients pitch materials and deliverables
MIS (20%) -
- Responsible for extracting, building, and maintaining useful KPIs and benchmarks related to payment services while working with finance, MIS and reporting teams.
- Validate facts and KPIs on ad-hoc requests from leadership.
- Perform quantitative and qualitative business and data analysis.
Soft Skills
- Very strong written and verbal communication in English and interpersonal skills

Technical Skills
- Demonstrated experience in managing bids independently in Healthcare Services with strong understanding of the bid life cycle in Payment Integrity business.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Experience on sales lifecycle and content management tools like Salesforce, SharePoint etc.
- Fundamental knowledge of Analytical methods, Tableau/PowerBI, AWS/Azure, ITIL, Web design, SaaS
- Domain Skills - US Healthcare value chain of Payers and Providers with emphasis on data and analytics
Education Requirement
- Bachelor's Degree, MBA preferred from a top tier university
