*Industry Preference - Logistic, F&B Manufacturing or Manufacturing.
Responsibilities:
EHS System and Capacity Building
- Identify missing EHS processes and systems as per ISO 14001 and 45001
- Identify EHS champions across facilities management and supply chain teams
- Conduct internal trainings for on-ground facilities management and supply chain teams on SOPs and local and national compliance and reporting requirements
- Design a system of rewards and recognition to motivate on-ground facilities management teams to focus on EHS improvements
- Partner with India EHS Central team on assessing impact of new processes on safety and environment
- Ensure baseline governance processes and risk assessments are in place, created, regularly reviewed and owned by individual site leaders
- Partner with site leaders to ensure they execute safety requirements, track action data entry and completion
EHS Compliance
- Support corporate compliance team in ensuring each facility is compliant with local environment, health and safety regulations including specific compliance on waste energy & water.
- Partner with Operation and HR to ensure accurate record keeping, and compliance with legal requirements and reporting standards
- Work with consultants on new safety/compliance projects and ensure successful implementation.
Sustainability Reporting
Support corporate sustainability team in ensuring accurate data is reported on a quarterly basis and in time for the company's annual filings with SEBI.
Investigations and Audits
- Conduct Accident Investigation by being part of a cross-functional team.
- Identify and develop required safety standards to ensure a safe working environment and formulate rules to ensure that safety standards are met.
- Train operation staff on safety rules and conduct safety audits & safety committee to ensure adherence to safety rules and standards.
- Ensure site management team are able to assess incidents, root causes and record ability criteria and input information correctly into Incident Reporting System
Ideal Qualifications
- Successfully managing EHS responsibilities and teams in a reputed Indian or multinational company ideally in logistics, manufacturing, or food services- exposure to warehouse and retail environments is a plus.
- BTech or Science graduate with PG Diploma in Environment, Health & Safety Management
- Certified as an auditor for ISO 14001 or 45001
- Should enjoy traveling to facilities across the country on a regular basis. Role is expected to involve travel for up to 50-60% of the time
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills oral and written in English and Hindi, knowledge of other Indian languages is a plus.
