OPERATIONS Performance ENABLEMENT DATA, ANALYTICS & REPORTING SENIOR MANAGER, DATA QUALITY
Data, Analytics & Reporting provides awareness of Operations performance focusing on the key data sets that power our measurement of timelines, accuracy and completeness. The team is responsible for the delivery of timely operational reporting required to run our core customer workflows.
Working within Data, Analytics & Reporting team, the Senior Manager, Data Quality role is passionate about creation robust data quality tests across our content to include different dimensions of data quality like timeliness, accuracy, completeness & coverage. This role will also need to lead a group of data quality specialists.
The role requires strong working experience in working with Database technologies (Oracle, Snowflake, Microsoft Azure, etc) & data processing languages (SQL, Python, R, etc.), interpersonal & communication skills and strategic execution working with our data guides, our colleagues in Operations Performance Enablement and Business Delivery teams
Responsibilities / Accountabilities
- Handles multiple teams or a functional area, while maintaining appropriate staffing requirements to meet operational needs
- Work as part of a team with the other data quality & reporting teams to build a deep understanding of logics to produce different reports
- Applies comprehensive understanding of concepts and procedures within own area and basic knowledge of other areas to resolve issues that have impact beyond own area
- Monitors data quality performance and ensures actions are taken if performance warrants
- Applies knowledge and understanding of the businesses to tackle variety of problems - by working directly with the senior business leaders
- Work with Data Stewards, Business Stewards, Data Custodians and Data Owners and other business partners to resolve root cause of DQ issues, recommend the action plan to resolve and build data quality checks to flag similar issues in the future
- Develop strategies to reduce costs, handle risk and enhance services
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding LSEG, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and raising, leading and reporting control issues with transparency
- Build positive relationships with business partners and work hand in hand to understand business complaints on data quality issues and build accurate data quality checks.
- Demonstrates deep familiarity with data domain as well as Data Quality standards & practices to optimally improve data quality controls.
- Develop a plan to standardize and centralize reporting to promote consistency
- Work with our other shared services groups, specifically Performance & Insights team, Business teams & Data experts
- Create learning pathways to upskill the team members
- Continuously innovative on standard processes & technologies by reviewing external resources & marketplace
- Exposure to AI/ML is helpful
Qualifications/Capabilities
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree, any field
- 8+ years relevant experience data quality testing, data mining, data monitoring
- 5+ years of people management experience
- Working experience and knowledge in Power BI, Tableau & other data visualization technologies
- Working experience and knowledge in Microsoft Power Platform
- Experience working with Database technologies (Oracle, Snowflake, Azure, etc) & data processing languages (SQL, Python, R, etc.)
- Ability to work proactively, with good interpersonal skills across all levels of staff
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong Microsoft office knowledge (excel, PowerPoint)
- Must be self-motivated, resourceful, dynamic (able to respond to changing priorities) and able to work with minimal direction within a distributed team
- Excellent organizational skills, with ability to navigate a sophisticated matrix environment and organize/prioritize work efficiently
- Must be prepared to work UK/US hours as and when required
- Hands on experience of building Data Quality checks, and Tracing back data issues through data pipelines.
- Working experience in AI/ML
- Hybrid working (3 days working from office)
