Cloud Managed Services is part of Nasdaq (former Adenza) Client Services which has been providing Cloud clients with secure and reliable services around Calypso solution since 2008.
The Rebase Services team, composed of 27 subject-matter experts, plays a key role by assisting our Cloud clients to upgrade Calypso versions in a timely and cost-effective manner, and doing so, enable them to fully utilize improvements to Calypso.
For that purpose, we build and execute a series of automated regression tests allowing to detect, analyze and remediate any reconciliation break.
Our clients and team are based around the globe and demand for Cloud Managed Services is growing fast.
Team And Role Overview
The Upgrade Services team plays a key role in the Company's success by assisting our Cloud clients to rebase Calypso versions in a timely and efficient manner, and doing so, enabling them to fully use improvements to Calypso. For that purpose, they build and implement a series of automated regression tests allowing them to detect, analyze and remediate any reconciliation break.
What You Will Do
Operational role and responsibilities:
- Assist our Cloud clients in the context of a version upgrade.
- Work directly with customers to define the scope of automated regression tests based on the Client footprint (the functional coverage can be large: cross-asset, front-to-back, all modules)
- Build (or adapt to client needs) a suite of Test Scripts with our internal CATT tool
- Implement this suite of automated Test Scripts to perform regression testing
- Communicate results, analyze issues detected, address them directly (when a configuration change is vital for instance) or log appropriate Salesforce tickets
- Work in close collaboration with Cloud Ops, Customer Support, PM and Engineering teams to coordinate the quick resolution of SF tickets (when a bug fix is needed)
- Provide regular update to the Client and Management: Keep track of all open issues in an Excel template, Weekly Status Meeting
- Coordinate manual end-user testing (SIT, UAT) performed by the Clients themselves, be responsible for the issues raised by the Client (in the same way as those detected by automated Test Scripts)
- Work in conjunction with the rebase services director to set and lead customer expectations around project timelines.
Management role and responsibilities:
- Manage a team of professional employees and/or supervisors.
- Aid employees in the goal setting and performance review processes; perform other talent management and development decisions as needed.
- Take accountability for the performance and results of a team within own subject area; plan and implement procedures and systems to improve operating efficiency.
- Adapt departmental plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges.
- Ensure documentation is accurate and complete.
- Elicit detailed business and system requirements from business owners and collaborators.
- Provide user training on system/new functionality and handle user queries.
- Empower, develop, recruit and retain employees while exciting and encouraging a culture of high performing teams.
- Design solutions for clients which will result in exceeding KPI's
What We Expect
- Minimum of 10+ years working in IT projects within the capital markets industry.
- Must have experience (at least 3 years) of leading a team of professional employees.
- Calypso implementation / upgrade experience would be a strong advantage. Otherwise, knowledge of another financial software e.g. Murex, Summit, Kondor+, Aladdin, SimCorp.
- A first experience in test automation would also be appreciated.
- Masters degree in Finance, Mathematics, Business, Computer Science or I.T.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Will spend significant amounts of time working hands-on with customers and other Calypso departments.
- Ability to articulate procedures and build a re-usable framework for the service.
Desired Skills
- CFA, IMC or CISI qualified or other post graduate finance qualification
- Calypso knowledge would be a strong advantage (you will receive Calypso training and will be expected to pass your Calypso certification)
- Other application knowledge e.g. Murex, Finastra (Summit, Kondor+), Aladdin, SimCorp
- Proficiency using Bloomberg Terminal
- Market data sources (e.g. Bloomberg SAPI, Data License)
- Knowledge of 3rd party systems e.g. MarkIt, Omgeo, SWIFT, Acadiasoft
- Knowledge of regulations impacting investment banks and asset managers
- Advanced Excel skills.
