Job Description

Position Overview:

The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the logistics operations within the organization to ensure the efficient movement and storage of goods. This role involves managing the supply chain, optimizing transportation and distribution processes, and collaborating with various departments to meet company goals and customer satisfaction.
  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Logistics Operations Management:

  • Develop and implement logistics strategies to optimize the transportation, warehousing, and distribution of goods.

  • Monitor and manage logistics budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to financial constraints.

  • Oversee the day-to-day logistics operations, including inventory management, order fulfillment, and shipment tracking.
  • Supply Chain Coordination:

  • Collaborate with suppliers, vendors, and internal teams to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.

  • Coordinate with procurement and inventory teams to forecast demand and plan for supply needs.

  • Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers and negotiate contracts and service agreements.

    Process Improvement:


  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service quality.

  • Analyze logistics performance metrics and prepare reports for senior management.

  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to continuously improve logistics operations.
  • Team Leadership:

  • Lead and mentor logistics staff, including hiring, training, and performance management.

  • Foster a collaborative and productive work environment to achieve team goals.

  • Ensure adherence to company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Customer Service:

  • Address and resolve any logistics-related issues or customer complaints promptly and effectively.

  • Ensure that delivery timelines and quality standards meet or exceed customer expectations.

  • Work with customer service teams to improve the overall customer experience.
  • Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree, Supply Chain Management, or a related field

Experience: [2-7] years of experience in logistics or supply chain management, with a proven track record of managing logistics operations and leading teams.
  • Skills:

  • Strong understanding of logistics and supply chain management principles.

  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficient in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Working Conditions:

  • Full-time position with occasional extended hours or weekend work as needed.

  • Office-based with occasional site visits to warehouses or distribution centers.
