The Legal Powerhouses are part of the legal function and provide defined, structured services to our other lawyers and to the broader business.
Where this position fits-into the team:
Part of the Unilever Legal Powerhouse a team we're currently building, which consists of around 55 colleagues in Bangalore and 30 across Mexico City and Barcelona.
Integral part of Unilever's Legal Function - a global operation consisting of approximately 600 lawyers and specialists
Based alongside the Uni Ops Function in Bangalore a wider team of 1,600 that powers Unilever's compass strategy through world class business operations enabled by technology and innovation
Role purpose
To support the Global Business Integrity Team in their business partnering, core compliance and investigations to ensure we help the business perform with integrity. This role requires a strong sense of ethics, excellent communication skills, ability to work with data and a passion for creating a positive impact.
Responsibilities
- Have a key role in the management of the speak up programme, producing reports, ensuring timely and quality closure of cases, as well as providing guidance and feedback to investigators
- Perform quality control checks on investigations reports and outcomes, ensuring alignment with Unilever policies and standards
- Triage and resolve conflict of interest and gifts & hospitality disclosures, applying a risk-based approach and escalating issues as appropriate
- Mitigate third party red flag risks by engaging with subject matter experts and different parts of the business
- Support our global Business Integrity efforts ensuring Unilever employees complete mandatory learning programs
- Collaborate with other functions and regions to promote a culture of integrity and ethical leadership across Unilever
Act as a Line manager for a small team of associates.

Relevant Experience
Professional qualification in Law.
Ethics and compliance operations
Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
Essential
Min 5 years hands-on experience in matters related to compliance, investigations, regulatory, case management or other relevant area for a global ethics and compliance team.
5 years industry experience working within a large complex business environment requiring analysis of data and making balanced risk decisions.
Providing risk based advice on different types of compliance interactions.
Achieving outcomes and results by influencing the way resources not in your control are utilised.
Attention to detail.
Ability to work with colleagues across multiple time zones and countries.
Willingness and drive for process excellence.
Experience using Microsoft tools to manage and visualize data, especially Excel or PowerBI
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferable
Experience within a consumer goods or retail environment.
Broader ability across Microsoft tools like Sharepoint, Power Automate, so the jobholder can innovate and improve ways of working around documentation, flow management, etc
Previous people management experience.
