Majesco is seeking a Senior Lead Business Analyst, Configuration with knowledge of Life Insurance domain for North American Life & Annuity product line. Majesco has been identified in the Visionary Quadrant as per Gartner's report for L&A Product vendors in North America

All About the Role:

• Works closely with the Product Owners to understand the insurance business context and rules to be configured across the UW, policy, and claims modules
• Works closely with the Solution architect to understand the overall design approach to meet the business requirements and how the configuration will work independently or with any development work being done in parallel
• Translate the life insurance product specification documents into configuration within the system using Majesco's Insurance Content Management tool
• Translate all the business rules and validations listed in the requirement documents covering various life insurance business processes from underwriting to claims into configuration within the system using Majesco's Insurance Content Management tool
• Learn and understand the existing rules content and structure associated with the end-to-end system functionality and map with new rules
• Create configuration design documents that outline the flow and structure of configuration to ensure elegant solutions that are flexible and reusable
• Identify the patterns and scenarios that are possible and ensure that the configured rules will hold good for all situations.
• Work with product owners and solution architects to define the scope of configuration and estimate the efforts & duration to complete the configuration
• Test the configurations put in place and ensure a high quality deliverable
• Take ownership while working in aSAFe Agilemodel with other BA's, Architects to ensure that the end business & performance goals are met.
• Takes part in configuration reviews (self and team) and suggest/fix any defects/design issues identified in the configuration pattern.
• Ensure On-Time delivery of product features as per the Product Roadmap.
• Support issue analysis/triaging and provide fixes during test phases, as well as production issue resolution to ensure key Product SLAs are met.
• Ensure thorough unit testing & participate in the transition of the application components to the testers.
• Present and highlight features in product demos to wider audience / customer.
• Document the configuration as required in the product processes for reuse and updates by implementation teams without additional help.

What You'll Bring:

• Self-driven, highly motivated, outcome focused - Ownership of configuration designs, configuration implementation, and component test execution to demonstrate alignment to the functional & non-functional requirements.
• Strong experience with Excel Macros, complex excel workbooks with interlinked sheets that have complex calculations and conditions or VBA language (or other scripting language) understanding. Java or other program language proficiency is also welcome
• Strong experience of constructing logic
• Should possess a strong understanding of complex calculations to analyze the calculations from spreadsheet and implement the calculations/ rules in configuration tools.
• Is keen to take the business requirements and give it life through high quality configuration designs
• Innovative mindset to suggest how more of the changes can be implemented through configuration rather than application changes
• Ideas for enhancements to the configuration engine that reduces the need to make application changes
• Desire to improve the configuration toolkit and engine to make it simpler and improve productivity and efficiency
• First-time-right Quality mindset, prefers to automate over doing same tasks manually, strives for delivering the best customer experience, ambitious and growth mindset.

All About You:

• 2 Years of experience in configuration of business rules and scripts (complex calculation and logic - not just tables) for a software product.
• 2 years of experience in working with complex Excel sheets, macros, VBA, or other scripting languages - if it is proprietary scripting languages of another vendor product, it is welcome too
• Any experience in Life Insurance domain with knowledge of Individual/ Group Insurance products is an added benefit
• Any experience of working with or configuring US life insurance products in other software packages is a plus

Other Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering or Banking & Finance Master's degree a plus
• Experience with SAFe Agile Development practices and processes. certification preferred.
• Experience with the Majesco Platforms/Products is a plus.
• Preferred Experience in configuration of banking or financial services products.
• Actuarial qualification will be preferred
• Extensive experience in creating complex excel workbooks, writing macros, or working in programming languages is a plus
