Job Description
This role is part of the FP&A team wherein the candidate will be required to independently manage the expenses of certain sub-segments belonging to Legal Professionals group. Amongst other things, this position specifically requires the candidate to drive expense discussions with the Finance GTM teams and other business partners. Some of the other deliverables for this position will be month-end reporting, variance analysis and commentary writing, full ownership of the formulation and loading of the annual plan and the quarterly forecasts, independently managing adhocs, process improvement and automation.
About The Role
- Month-end reporting, variance analysis and commentary writing
- Full ownership of the annual plan exercise, forecast process, re-plan including loading of financials in Onestream.
- Full involvement in the O&R exercise and in the preparation of the QBR decks
- Independently manage ad-hoc requests
- Perform deep dive of the different expense FSVs and suggest areas of cost savings and help in meeting any expense challenges
- Interact with the GTM team, HR and other business partners on a regular basis to understand their request/challenges and provide effective solutions of a proactive basis.
- Establish basic business and economic assumptions and guidelines underlying the development of forecasts, the annual financial plan, and the strategic plan.
- Fulfill various ad hoc reporting requirements.
- Drive preparation of business presentations/briefing notes and start presenting them to stakeholders periodically
- Participate in process improvement/simplification/excellence initiatives.
- Act as a contact point for queries from business.
About You
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 6 years of professional work experience in accounting field preferably in public accounting firm or large corporate environment.
- Advanced knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal relationships skills.
- Ability to work independently under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of Hyperion Essbase preferred.
- Proficient in English language both written and verbal
