Senior Java Software Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Java Developer with 6+ years of experience and good exposure in the Insurance domain.

Client: Allianz

Overview: A team of 260 people split equally between the UK and India. The team is focused on a migration programme from legacy technology to a group platform and maintaining the Guidewire platform (Policy, Billing, and Claims). The biggest challenges typically arise in policy and billing areas.

Key Responsibilities:

Participate in the migration of legacy systems to the Guidewire platform.

Maintain and support the Guidewire platform, focusing on Policy, Billing, and Claims modules.

Collaborate with team members to tackle challenges, particularly in the Policy and Billing modules.

Develop and implement new features and enhancements in Java.

Ensure high-quality code and adherence to best practices.

Handle a broad book of work covering various areas of Guidewire and Cloud platforms.

Engage in both project work and BAU (Business As Usual) tasks.

Requirements:

Strong Java development skills with a proven track record of high-quality work.

Experience in the insurance industry, particularly with personal and/or commercial lines.

Familiarity with Guidewire platform, especially Policy, Billing, and Claims modules.

Cloud experience with AWS is highly desirable.

Ability to manage a broad portfolio of work, including both projects and BAU activities.

Mid-level experience, reasonably priced.
