We are seeking an outstanding Senior Software Engineer to join our ESG & Climate Application Development team in the Pune/Mumbai/Bengaluru. As part of a global team the candidate will need to develop productive working relationships in cross-functional teams to build and improve our industry-leading ESG, Climate and Net-Zero solutions.

Your key responsibilities
You will be part of an engineering team, focused on developing and enhancing application components that generate Climate products based upon GeoSpatial datasets.
Platform technology spans data engineering as well as distribution application development. You will need to develop software components, develop automation testing and ensure timely and bug free releases.
You will need to develop highly resilient and scalable software and would use technologies available in GCP and Azure.
You need to be open to learning innovative technologies and deliver as business demands.
You exhibit strong work ethics and believe in building best-in-class software.
Your skills and experience that will help you excel
You have a strong understanding of distributed application development, object-oriented programming, micro services, REST Design, repository management, production releases, entitlements, and access controls.
Proven expertise with Java - showing an ability to write robust, efficient code and test, debug and optimize. Knowledge of a secondary language such as Python is a bonus.
Excellent knowledge of data structures and concurrency.
Excellent analytical skills
Knowledge of SQL / No-SQL databases. Experience in performance tuning is a plus.
Excellent communication skills with positive outlook - able to work in a globally distributed team.
Attention to detail with the ability to balance quality and timeliness.
Experience with Linux, K8s, Azure, Helm, Terraform, Docker a bonus.
Delivery experience with agile methodology, knowledge of agile ceremonies, and experience with frequent production releases a bonus.
