Role Summary & Role Description:
nAs a Senior Java and Appian Developer you will contribute to the development, enhancement, configuration and maintenance of Investment Account Services platforms as a member of an agile scrum team. This is an opportunity to work within a very strong development team and help to develop challenging new products in the financial space using cutting edge technology.
nAs a Java and Appian Technical Specialist candidate will:
nDesign, Develop, Test, and Validate application solutions using Appian and Java for Alpha Investment Account Services platforms based on the business requirements.
nDevelopment of Appian, Java and API and integrations with other internal/external systems
nSound fundamentals in Java, Appian, design patterns, requirement understanding, unit-testing.
nWorking experience of Agile Methodology
nShould possess a strong working experience in Architecture, development, related SDLC processes, excellent API, microservices and database knowledge.
nSound knowledge/experience on PL/SQL, No SQL and SQL programming to an extent to carry out the necessary Application development and integration work.
nSound knowledge of Front office, Middle office and Back-office domain services (Investment accounting services, Cash services)
nWork on critical Development, Support and enhancement requests, and ensure the availability, accessibility and accuracy of the data delivered from these platforms.
nIssue debugging, investigate application related issues, handle and respond to critical application related support issues raised by the business with appropriate fix or technical resolution within a short span of time.
nUnderstanding the business requirements and converting to the technical requirements
nReview and guide the deliverables of the junior developers in the team.
nProvide plans and estimation of the development tasks assigned.
nCommunicate effectively within the global teams and with business teams to carry out project related tasks smoothly in a coordinated approach.
nShould exhibit strong analytical, problem-solving skills and aptitude to work in a complex and challenging work environment.
nKnowledge, experience of AWS/Azure cloud and Kubernetes is highly desirable.
nCertifications in Appian, Java, Cloud is highly desirable
nCore/Must have skills:
nTotal 8-10 years of experience
n6+ Years Development experience in Appian
n8+ Years Exp in Core Java/ J2EE, API development, micro services
n3+ Years Exp in SQL/ PLSQL/No SQL (Prefer Oracle database)
n3+ Years Exp in MQ (Middle Tier) , Kafka (Service to Service communication)
