We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT professional to drive IT Asset Management (ITAM) initiatives. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of our Software Asset Management (SAM) workflows, integrations, and related processes. This candidate is also primarily responsible for the ongoing development and performance of established Hardware Asset Management workflows and integrations. As a Senior IT Asset Management Engineer, you will be accountable for integration development and maintenance, process owner support, configuration identification and control, and collaboration with IT Operations Management (ITOM), IT Asset Management (ITAM), and Service Management teams. You will be responsible for driving continuous improvement initiatives and working with leaders across the organization to ensure adherence to SAM processes.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Accountable for IT Asset Management, reporting, and remediation activities.
Responsible for supporting configuration management processes and end user support of the CMDB.
Responsible for supporting IT Asset Management processes, including training and data management.
Accountable for fostering collaboration with IT Operations Management (ITOM) and IT Asset Management (ITAM) teams to integrate configuration management practices into operational and asset management processes.
Responsible for supporting service owners and the management of service portfolios.
Accountable for developing and maintaining reporting mechanisms to provide insights into the state of the CMDB, configuration item relationships, and adherence to configuration management best practices.
Responsible for implementing processes to improve overall completeness and correctness within the CMDB.
Minimum requirements:
Proven experience in Hardware and Software Asset Management processes.
Understanding of the CMDB as it relates to assets and their lifecycles.
Experience implementing and using IT Asset Management within the ServiceNow platform.
Ability to influence across organizational levels, particularly senior leaders.
Specialized knowledge of defining, documenting, and implementing Asset Management and Configuration Management processes for both hardware and software CIs.
Experience with REST API development.
