Role : This position will be a key member of the regional APAC team and will work with the APAC management team on everything ranging from platform and asset debt and equity capital raising, joint ventures and investments, development, construction and asset management strategy, capital deployment strategy, and financial, risk and returns decision-making.
The role, by default, comes embedded with a lot of responsibility and fast-tracked growth towards the aspiration of a leadership role within the regional APAC management team. The role will be based in India (Pune) and will report directly to the Chief Commercial Officer for APAC, based in Australia (Melbourne)
Support APAC platform as well as in-country finance and investment activities including debt and equity capital raises and the assessment of potential investment, partnership and/or acquisition opportunities
Work with management, finance, development and technical/engineering teams in each APAC market to evaluate and assess potential new project development and/or investment/acquisition opportunities
Preparation and review of internal and external IMs, investment decision papers, financial models (platform and asset level) and financial budgets
Regular travel to in-country markets (India, PH and AUS) to work with local management, finance, development and engineering teams on achieving specific goals and/or objectives.
At least 6 years of experience at an investment bank, strategy/management consultancy or private equity / hedge fund who has had exposure to investments and/or mandates outside of India (e.g. Philippines or Australia).
Candidate looking to move into a business-role within the renewables sector with APAC reach and coverage.
Degree (bachelor's or masters) in finance, business or economics from a top tier university in India (e.g. IIT).
Certified Financial Analyst (CFA) preferred.
Excellent written and oral communication skills in English. Will be tested.
High level of proficiency with MS Excel to build and audit financial models (platform and asset level). Will be tested.
High level of proficiency with MS PPT to build high quality investment-bank grade IMs will be tested
