Position: Senior Internal Auditor
Job Responsibilities:
1. Audit Planning and Execution:
- Develop audit plans and programs for auditing stores, inventory management, purchase processes, and finance & accounts functions.
- Conduct risk assessments to identify potential areas of concern and prioritize audit activities accordingly.
- Perform detailed testing and analysis of transactions, controls, and procedures to assess compliance and effectiveness.
2. Inventory and Store Audits:
- Evaluate inventory management practices, including stock valuation, inventory counts, and reconciliation processes.
- Verify the accuracy of inventory records and assess the adequacy of controls to prevent loss, theft, or spoilage.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance inventory accuracy and efficiency.
3. Purchase Department Audits:
- Review procurement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
- Assess vendor selection, contract management, and purchasing processes for efficiency and effectiveness.
- Investigate potential instances of fraud, waste, or abuse in purchasing activities and recommend corrective actions.
4. Finance & Accounts Audits:
- Review accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice processing, payment disbursement, and collections.
- Analyze balance sheet accounts to ensure accuracy, completeness, and proper classification of transactions.
- Verify compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) and/or Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICWAI) certification preferred.
- Minimum of 5 plus years of experience in internal auditing.
