- Will be responsible to move the Digital Workplace Collaboration Engineering team forward by contributing to the delivery of set projects.
- Works with the application teams to design, manage, install and configuration of the technical components of the solution, and manage the day-to-day operations of the local and deployed instances of the solution. Responsible for ensuring that infrastructure solutions adhere to technical standards.
- Will support initiatives that deliver end-to-end support that align with AXP Technology standards and deliver highest availability through the latest observability and availability practices.
- Responsible to provide technical knowledge through fostering growth and development.
Organizational Context:
- Member of an infrastructure engineering team reporting to an Engineering Director. Will be an extended member of the voice engineering team.
Key Responsibilities:
Engineering:
- Participate in the infrastructure design and selection process
- Align customer needs to the evolution of the platform product roadmap
- Handle the diagnosis and correction of infrastructure problems
- Provide internal analysis and support to ensure proper criticality during outages or periods of degraded system performance
- Conduct infrastructure performance and security assessments
- Provide beneficial solutions for business, both tactically and strategically
- Lead customers to understand how current or envisioned processes align to industry standard methodology
- Define processes, documentation and engineering diagrams for technical and operations support
- Prioritize, complete and lead projects within budgetary and scheduling guidelines Ensure issues are identified, tracked, reported on and resolved in a timely manner Responsible for the quality of work in technical design, implementation, testing and alignment to technical compliance standards.
- Provide lead support and direction to the team for the overall health and maintenance of all infrastructure assets
- Ensure technical documents are created, centralized and maintained up-to-date
- Provide internal analysis and support to ensure proper criticality during outages or periods of degraded system performance
- Ensure knowledge and adherence of the change management process

Education and Experience:
- 8+ years of experience with systems analysis/programming, incorporating design methodology, Infrastructure operations support or engineering
- Hands-on experience with a variety of software languages, operating systems, or network protocols
- Appreciation of Agile or other rapid application development methodology
- bachelors or masters Degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related field required; advanced degree preferred
- Proven strategic mindset, strong people leadership skills with proven track record of leading through influence
- Proven experience in ITSM process
Knowledge/Skills:
- Telecom, SIP, CISCO, VOIP experience
- Some experience supporting iOS and Android applications
- Specific technical experience working with one or more of the following areas: VMWare, Unix, Citrix, Linux, Windows
- Core knowledge of platform delivery methodology (Agile, Scrum, Agile XP, TestDriven Development, Waterfall, etc.)
- Some experience with monitoring solutions: ThousandEyes, Grafana, Prognosis, etc.
