About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior IT Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Azure Cloud, operating systems, and a solid understanding of IT security. This role requires a proactive individual with excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide expert-level support and administration for Azure Cloud services.

Utilize Kusto Query Language (KQL) for data analysis and troubleshooting.

Perform operating system administration, including Windows and Linux environments.

Troubleshoot and resolve OS-related issues, including patch management.

Implement and maintain security measures, particularly with Microsoft Defender for Endpoint (MDE) and Azure Sentinel.

Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of IT systems.

Utilize PowerShell for scripting and automation tasks.

Work with ServiceNow for incident, problem, and change management.

Technical Assessment/Screening:

Azure Cloud (Strong):

Extensive experience working with Azure Cloud services.

Proficiency in managing various Azure resources.

Basic understanding and usage of Kusto Query Language (KQL).

Strong troubleshooting skills within Azure environments.

Operating Systems (Strong):

In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with both Windows and Linux operating systems.

Expertise in troubleshooting OS-related issues.

Experience in patch management for OS environments.

Security (Some Understanding):

Basic to intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Defender for Endpoint (MDE).

Understanding of Azure Sentinel and its functionalities.

Experience in troubleshooting security-related issues.

Good to Know:

Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation.

Experience working with ServiceNow for IT service management.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT, with a focus on cloud services, operating systems, and security.

Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals) are a plus.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
