Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Sr./Manager IT to lead and oversee our IT functions. This individual will play a key role in aligning technology strategies with the company's business objectives, ensuring robust IT operations, and driving improvements in security, project management, and vendor relations. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of IT management, a solid background in enterprise-level IT operations, and the ability to manage a diverse team to achieve organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning and Alignment:
- Identification of technology needs by collaborating with department heads and participate in discussions to understand the specific requirements of different departments.
- Create a technology roadmap that outlines the strategic direction for IT initiatives, including short-term and long-term goals, technology investments, and project timelines aligned with the organization's growth plans.
- Evaluate vendors, hardware, and software options, considering factors like cost, compatibility, and support. Make recommendations to senior management based on these evaluations.
Project Management:
- Prioritize projects to align with the organization's goals and available resources.
- Manage the full project lifecycle, including defining scopes, creating project plans, allocating resources, and monitoring progress.
- Track budgets and ensure effective communication with stakeholders.
Establishment of Cyber Security Norms and IT Policy Implementation:
- Establish cybersecurity norms and ensure the effective implementation of the company's IT policies.
IT Operations and Support:
- Daily maintenance and troubleshooting of IT systems.
- Set and monitor Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for IT support to ensure timely responses, issue resolution, and high service availability.
Security and Risk Management:
- Implement and manage security measures to protect IT systems and data, including establishing security policies, ensuring firewall and antivirus protection, and monitoring potential threats.
- Perform regular risk assessments and implement disaster recovery plans.
- Support risk assessment and remediation.
Vendor and Stakeholder Management:
- Maintain relationships with technology vendors and service providers, including negotiating contracts, reviewing performance, and recommending vendor selection or changes.
- Collaborate with department heads and senior management and gather feedback to improve IT services.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Supervise the IT team by assigning tasks, setting priorities, and overseeing daily operations.
- Ensure team members have the necessary tools and resources to perform their tasks effectively.
- Support the professional growth of team members by identifying training opportunities, certifications, and skill-building activities.
- Encourage team members to stay updated with industry trends.
Implementation of Linux and Rationalization of Software and Hardware Needs:
- Lead initiatives related to Linux implementation and rationalize software and hardware needs across the organization.
Budgeting and Resource Management:
- Manage the IT budget and allocate resources for various projects and operational needs.
- Balance fund allocation to support current operations, ongoing maintenance, and strategic initiatives.
- Optimize costs by evaluating spending, renegotiating vendor contracts, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and ensuring IT expenses align with the budget.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, operations, and security management.
- Proven experience in project management, including budgeting, resource allocation, and vendor management.
- Expertise in cybersecurity, risk management, and disaster recovery planning.
- Experience with Linux implementations and rationalizing IT resources.
- Ability to lead and mentor an IT team, fostering collaboration and professional growth.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience
8 to 10 years of experience in managing enterprise-level IT systems, preferably within a microfinance or NBFC (Non-Banking Financial Company) environment.
