Position Overview:
The Senior Human Resources Manager will be responsible for leading the HR function at the Pune-based automotive manufacturing facility. This role will manage the full spectrum of human resources activities, including talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, and compliance. The Senior HR Manager will collaborate with department heads to align the HR strategy with the business goals, ensuring the companys workforce is engaged, well-supported, and positioned for growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- HR Strategy & Leadership: Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy of the automotive plant.
- Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning: Lead recruitment efforts to attract top talent across functions, ensuring the company has the right talent to meet current and future business needs. Manage workforce planning and succession planning initiatives.
- Employee Engagement & Retention: Foster a positive and inclusive work environment by implementing employee engagement programs, addressing employee concerns, and promoting a culture of continuous feedback.
- Performance Management: Oversee performance management systems, ensuring clear goal setting, regular performance reviews, and development plans for employees.
- Learning & Development: Identify training needs, design, and implement learning and development programs to improve employee skills and leadership capabilities.
- Compensation & Benefits: Manage the company's compensation and benefits programs to ensure competitiveness within the automotive industry, while also aligning with employee needs.
- HR Operations & Compliance: Ensure HR policies and procedures are up to date, well-communicated, and compliant with labor laws and company regulations. Oversee payroll and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
- Employee Relations: Act as a trusted advisor to both employees and management on HR-related matters, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and legal compliance.
- Change Management: Support organizational change efforts, including any business process transformations, restructuring, or expansions.
- HR Data & Analytics: Use HR metrics and analytics to drive decision-making and identify opportunities for improving employee satisfaction, retention, and productivity.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Proven experience as an HR Manager or Senior HR professional in the automotive, manufacturing, or similar industrial sector.
- Strong knowledge of HR best practices, labor laws, and regulatory compliance in India.
- Experience with talent acquisition, performance management, employee engagement, and compensation management.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Experience in managing employee relations and conflict resolution.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
- Proficient in HR software and tools for managing employee records, payroll, and performance.
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; advanced HR certification (e.g., SHRM, HRCI) is a plus.
