We are looking for a Senior Human Resources Manager for our thriving software development office based in Bengaluru. The Senior Human Resources Manager will report to the Director of People Operations and will manage an existing team of 3 HR professionals who currently handle payroll, benefits, recruiting, performance management, and employee engagement. We value a focus on diversity and inclusion, blending policy with a focus on the employee experience, and collaboration with all levels of the business.
Location: Hybrid - Bengaluru, Karnataka - hybrid, with at least 3 days a week in-person
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, measure key initiatives and projects in areas such as onboarding, compensation, employee engagement, and diversity and inclusion.
- Align HR strategies with overall business objectives in consultation with the Director of People Operations.
- Support business needs through talent development, engagement, motivation, and retention.
- Promote organizational values and foster a positive, welcoming culture in the office and for remote employees with a focus on supporting diversity and inclusion.
- Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system to drive strong performance, career development, and high employee engagement.
- Manage the company's benefits and annual open enrollment process.
- Assess and address training needs by department, including compliance and skill advancement.
- Ensure legal compliance
- Bridge management and employee relations by addressing employee concerns.
- Lead and support the HR team, including appropriately delegating tasks and supporting team members professional growth
Qualifications / Skills
- Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field preferred, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Minimum 8 years of HR business partner or HR manager experience, providing support to leaders and team members.
- HR experience in a SAAS or technology product company (specifically supporting the software engineering division) with all or a strong combination of the following areas: performance management, compensation and benefits, culture building, employee engagement, coaching and development, talent management, conflict resolution, HR data analysis, and employee relations.
- Experience leading HR initiatives in a company with 150+ full time team members.
- Hands-on experience with driving change and reporting through human resources metrics.
- Knowledge of HR systems and databases.
- Active listening, negotiation and strong presentation skills will be helpful and put to regular use.
- Knowledge of labor laws and federal compliance.
- Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Motivated and possessing the ability to work independently with little or no supervision.
