- A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join Waystone Technology Solutions Pvt Ltd Reporting into the Head of HR.
- The Human Resources Business Partner role will be accountable to ensure that all HR services are delivered in a cost efficient high-quality manner within India. The role will partner with the business on the development and delivery of robust people initiatives, organisational change, and cyclical people activity - as well as oversee all elements of HR and be the main liaison to employees to ensure the business needs are met. The role will support strategic HR projects across the business.
- You will be expected to provide guidance and recommendations on diverse and/or complex issues, ensure compliance based on accurate interpretation of local policies and regulations.
- This role will have line management responsibility for the HR Advisor and Recruitment Lead.
- The successful candidate will demonstrate high levels of commercial acumen and strategic thinking and will have the ability to work at pace across several global senior business stakeholders. This role would require supporting in EMEA business hours
Key Accountabilities and main responsibilities
Strategic Focus
- Support the development and delivery of robust people plans across the business, drawing on experience and insight to drive sustainable and commercial impact
- Input into the design and shaping of development initiatives that build skills, enhance leadership capability, and provide personal development opportunities for all parts of the business.
- Lead and manage HR within the India site to ensure achievement of global operations and global HR departmental goals
- Be a strategic thought partner to business leaders
Operational Management
- Partner with the wider HR team and business leaders in relation to:
- Talent and succession management
- The development and maintenance of technical, leadership and professional skills and a capabilities
- Employee engagement and culture
- Organisational change
- Employee relations and employment regulations
- The management of cyclical processes such as goal setting, performance review, remuneration review, talent assessment and development planning
- Take an active role in understanding business issues. Recommend and develop approaches to address those challenges
- Support and advise on ongoing employment policy development and employee relations activities (e.g., disciplinary, grievance, dismissal) including compliance to employment regulation and law
- Support talent and succession planning activities and upskilling across the business, including the delivery of local talent plans
- Work with recruitment teams to drive employer branding initiatives and to enhance the overall talent acquisition process. This will also involve playing a direct role in the sourcing and assessment of suitable candidates for senior and key positions
- Coach leaders on how to drive positive organisational behaviours and embed a high-performance culture across the business, one which drives ongoing performance feedback and builds consistency through robust practices and tools
- Bring the voice of employees to critical organisational decisions
- Provide advice and coaching to local managers on people policies and procedures, employment arrangements and local labour law
- Support managers to resolve employee relations cases (such as disciplinary, grievance, absence, etc.)
- Provide first line support to employees on local employment related queries
- Develop meaningful relationships with key people and influence decisions by using data, reports, and evidence
People Leadership
- This role will have line management responsibility for the HR Advisor and Recruitment Lead.
Governance Risk
- Partner in the process of Policy formation, implementation, and adherence
- Ensure appropriate documentation to safeguard against legal and reputational risk.
- Own the transition of India entity out of the Transfer service agreement
- Drive the set up of India office as per local regulatory requirements.
Experience Personal Attributes
- 15+years of experience in HR function with majority of it being as HRBP
- Degree-Level Qualification in Human Resources or other related discipline
- Execution and delivery focused - with an approach that emphasises teamwork and collaboration
- Resilient and demonstrates ability to stand your own ground
- Able to influence key decision-makers and to challenge when necessary
- Strong commercial acumen and the ability to manage risk for the business

- Ability to lead others in a fast paced and dynamic environment
- Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks, across different locations

- Technical competence in all aspects of employment law and policies
- Experience of operating in a global organisation would be beneficial
