Required Criteria:
- Project Design Analysis & Initial Design Calculations:
- Analyze project requirements and specifications to determine the feasibility of the design.
- Perform initial design calculations to estimate component values, power consumption, and other parameters.
- Develop design concepts and explore alternative solutions.
- Schematic Drafting:
- Create detailed schematic diagrams of analog and digital circuits using Allegro ORCAD and Altium Designer.
- Ensure that schematics are accurate, well-documented, and adhere to design standards.
- Verify schematic integrity and connectivity.
- Layout Review and Documentation:
- Review and provide feedback on PCB layouts created by layout engineers.
- Ensure that layouts adhere to design rules, manufacturability requirements, and signal integrity guidelines.
- Create and maintain clear and accurate documentation of circuit designs, test procedures, and other technical information.
- Board Bring-up & Testing:
- Participate in the board bring-up process, including power-on sequencing, initial testing, and debugging.
- Conduct functional testing to verify circuit performance and identify any issues.
- Work with software and firmware engineers to ensure proper integration of hardware and software components.
- Hardware Testing and Verification:
- Develop and execute test plans for testing and validating analog and digital circuits in cellular IoT modules.
- Debug and troubleshoot circuit issues to ensure proper functionality and compatibility with cellular networks.
- Conduct environmental and reliability testing to ensure that circuits can withstand harsh operating conditions and meet the requirements of cellular IoT applications.
- Prototyping and Debugging:
- Develop and test prototypes of cellular IoT modules to validate circuit design and functionality.
- Debug and troubleshoot hardware issues to ensure that the module meets all requirements, including cellular connectivity, power consumption, and environmental robustness.
- Continuous Learning:
- Stay up-to-date on the latest hardware design and development technologies, tools, and techniques specific to cellular IoT modules.
- Attend training and conferences to enhance your skills and knowledge in the field of cellular IoT hardware design.
- Explore new technologies and innovations to improve the design and development of cellular IoT modules.
