About the Company:. Our client, a leading global marketing firm, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join their dynamic finance team. This role is ideal for a candidate with deep expertise in US GAAP and experience in supporting SEC filings for publicly listed entities. Key Responsibilities:. General Ledger Management:. Maintain and manage the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance with US GAAP and company policies
Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting
Financial Statement Preparation:. Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and equity statements
Support SEC filings, including the preparation and review of 10-Q and 10-K reports
Technical Accounting:. Provide technical accounting support with a strong understanding of key standards such as ASC 606 (Revenue Recognition), ASC 805 (Business Combinations), ASC 842 (Lease Accounting), and ASC 470 (Debt Modifications and Extinguishments)
Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures
Financial Analysis:. Conduct variance analysis and provide insights on financial performance, identifying trends and potential areas for improvement
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budgeting and forecasting processes
Internal Controls & Compliance:. Ensure compliance with internal controls and corporate governance policies
Assist in the preparation and coordination of audits, including PCAOB audits for publicly listed entities
Team Leadership & Development:. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development
Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and improve overall efficiency
Qualifications:. Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or equivalent certification required
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in general ledger accounting, with a strong background in financial statement preparation and SEC filings
In-depth knowledge of US GAAP, particularly in the application of complex accounting standards (ASC 606, ASC 805, ASC 842, ASC 470)
Experience with PCAOB audits for publicly listed entities
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or equivalent ERP systems) and advanced Excel skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Experience:. Experience in a global or multinational company, preferably within the marketing or advertising industry
Familiarity with tax regulations and compliance issues
