Job Overview
The Senior Fire Fighting Designer will be based in Bangalore, and will engage in designing advanced fire protection systems. The role demands a seasoned professional with 7 to 10 years of relevant experience in a full-time capacity. As a senior-level position within the company, this role requires extensive technical expertise in fire protection system design and execution.
Qualifications And Skills
- Proficiency in fire protection systems design, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.
- Expertise in fire sprinkler systems design for a wide range of facilities (Mandatory skill).
- Experience with fire gas suppression systems to protect high-value assets and facilities (Mandatory skill).
- Thorough understanding and application of NFPA Codes in design projects.
- Ability to perform precise hydraulic calculations for efficient system functionality.
- Knowledge of integrating fire suppression systems into existing structures.
- Familiarity with building codes relevant to fire protection requirements.
- Understanding of hydrant systems and their role in comprehensive fire safety plans.
Roles And Responsibilities
- Design and develop detailed plans for fire protection systems including sprinklers, alarms, and gas suppression.
- Ensure all designs comply with local, state, and federal fire codes and regulations, maintaining safety standards.
- Collaborate with architects and engineers to integrate fire protection systems into building plans.
- Conduct site inspections to verify design implementations and consult with on-site project teams.
- Oversee project schedules and budgets, ensuring timely and cost-effective completion.
- Prepare technical documentation and presentations for stakeholders, illustrating design concepts and solutions.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior designers and engineering support staff.
