Job Title: Economic / Financial Analysis Expert

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Economic / Financial Analysis Expert to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a Master's Degree in Economics, Commerce, or be a Chartered Accountant or hold an equivalent qualification. The candidate should have a minimum of 10 years experience in similar projects, with a strong focus on economic analysis, demand analysis, and willingness to pay assessment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Conduct comprehensive economic and financial analyses to support project planning, decision-making, and resource allocation.
2. Evaluate the economic viability and financial sustainability of proposed projects and initiatives, considering factors such as costs, benefits, risks, and market dynamics.
3. Perform demand analysis to assess the potential market size, consumer preferences, and demand drivers for goods and services offered by the project.
4. Conduct willingness-to-pay assessments to gauge the willingness of consumers to pay for specific products or services, informing pricing strategies and revenue projections.
5. Collaborate with project teams, stakeholders, and external partners to gather data, conduct research, and develop economic models and forecasts.
6. Prepare high-quality reports, presentations, and briefings to communicate economic and financial findings, recommendations, and implications to stakeholders and decision-makers.
7. Provide strategic advice and insights to support the development of business plans, investment proposals, and funding applications.
8. Stay abreast of economic trends, market developments, and regulatory changes that may impact project outcomes and financial performance.
9. Liaise with funding agencies, development banks, and other external partners to ensure compliance with their economic analysis requirements and guidelines.
10. Mentor and train junior staff members on economic analysis methodologies, tools, and best practices.

Qualifications and Experience:

1. Master's Degree in Economics, Commerce, or Chartered Accountant or equivalent qualification.
2. Minimum of 10 years experience in similar roles, with a strong background in economic and financial analysis.
3. Experience in conducting economic analysis, demand analysis, and willingness to pay assessment under externally funded projects (ADB, World Bank, etc.) will be advantageous.
4. Proficiency in economic modeling techniques, statistical analysis, and financial forecasting methodologies.
5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex data and information into actionable insights.
6. Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to diverse audiences.
7. Advanced proficiency in spreadsheet software, econometric software, and other relevant tools.
8. Proven ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams and collaborate with stakeholders from diverse backgrounds.
9. Demonstrated commitment to accuracy, integrity, and ethical conduct in economic analysis practices.
10. Membership in professional organizations or certifications related to economics or financial analysis would be advantageous.
