Job Summary:
The Senior Manager - Spends and Controllership will play a critical role in managing and optimizing the organization's spending across various departments. This role involves partnering with business units to provide strategic insights, drive cost efficiencies, and ensure alignment with organizational goals. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in financial analysis and strategic planning, with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and management of departmental budgets and forecast and analyze the movement and performance for overall spends
- Drive month-end book close activities, ensuring compliance with tight deadlines
- Lead the entire R2R function, including oversight on general ledger, revenue assurance and financial reporting teams
- Track and analyze budget performance, report on variances and provide actionable insights to senior management
- Conduct detailed spend analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities and trends, and develop and implement strategies to optimize spending.
- Establish and drive processes to streamline and enhance management reporting
- Collaborate with department heads to understand their spending needs and challenges.
- Present reports on spend analysis, budget performance, and cost-saving initiatives to senior leadership.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure transparency and alignment on spending strategies.
- Oversee statutory and group audits to enable timely audit closure
- Liaise with international colleagues to resolve issues and drive Group level objectives
- Lead and mentor team of individuals to effectively achieve organizational goals
Qualifications:
- CA (mandatory) with Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial analysis or a related role
- Strong background in Ind AS, IFRS and financial compliance.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide strategic recommendations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience in stakeholder management and negotiation.
- Proficiency in financial software and tools, such as ERP systems, Excel, and data visualization tools.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
