Summary
This role will lead the FP&A Divisional Engineering Finance team and support senior management with various financial aspects of LSEG's operations. The successful candidate will combine excellent commercial, communication and technical skills to provide financial insight for business partnering, reporting, planning, and forecasting.
This role is responsible for financial and operational support which drives informed business decision-making for both the Divisional Engineering Finance teams, and the wider organisation.
Role Responsibilities
The role will include but not limited to the following:
- Manage the process that supports Forecasting, Annual Planning, Business Analysis and Performance Reporting, Strategic Business Planning processes
- Ownership of the financial team operating rhythm
- Responsible for financial analysis, modelling, validating, and tracking of business performance, synergy initiatives and outcomes of each, conducting robust month end review process
- Providing business partnering support and drive strong relationships across the business including Central Tech Finance, Controllers, and other Finance teams
- Act as an integral part of the Finance team, promoting consistency and best practice across the team.
- Seek and implement transformation opportunities to improve forecasting processes, reporting quality, delivery and production efficiency across the team
- Manage and develop additional offshore FP&A team resources
- Lead/ Support other ad-hoc analysis, as required
- Lead/ Support any other finance projects
Skills And Experience
- Self-starter, experienced in working in a matrixed, global organisation including direct/indirect management of remote teams
- Excellent communication and people skills, ability to openly and confidently converse with Finance and non-Finance senior leaders
- Strong understanding of data analysis, forecasting and risk management
- Good understanding of data analytical techniques to draw conclusions and optimise financial performance (high attention to detail and accuracy while maintaining a view of the big picture and key objectives)
- Ability to prepare and deliver financial and strategic presentations to senior management
- Ability to influence and provide strategic recommendations to senior decision makers
- Experienced People Leader with a track record of developing others
- Extensive experience with financial and management reporting (experienced user of Microsoft Excel)
- Extremely organized with ability to multitask and prioritize efforts
- Proficiency in working effectively and delivering results in a fast-paced, complex, cross-functional, dynamic global business environment
- Recognised accountancy qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with over 10 years post qualified experience, which includes accounting and business partnering activities (budgeting, forecasting, performance reporting, strategy evaluation, analysis and insight)
- Strong understanding of external markets and experience working in a technology driven product environment with an understanding of product lifecycle management preferred
- Knowledge and understanding of ERPs and other financial systems
- Time-zone overlap with global stakeholders and counterparts, as warranted
