We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Finance Manager to lead our finance team and contribute to the company's financial health and growth.
Job Summary:
The Finance Manager at Ceres Foods Pvt Ltd will be responsible for managing and overseeing various financial functions, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance with statutory requirements. The ideal candidate would be having experience in FMCG/ Retail companies that are geographically spread in the country and have extensive experience in accounting and finance, proficiency in Zoho Books and other accounting software. Thorough understanding of accounting and financial principles and practices is essential. This role requires analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- MIS, Financial Reporting and Analysis:
- Oversee accurate and timely preparation and review of MIS, Financial Statements, that comply with accounting standards.
- Identifying comparable companies, evaluating, benchmarking and implementing accounting best practices
- Conduct financial analysis to support management decisions and strategic planning.
- Monitor and report on financial performance, identifying trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
- Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Lead the preparation and monitoring of budgets and forecasts.
- Analyze budget variances and provide insights into financial performance.
- Support cost control initiatives and recommend financial strategies.
- Taxation and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including GST, TDS, and other statutory requirements.
- Oversee the preparation and submission of tax returns, reports, and documentation.
- Liaise with auditors, regulatory authorities, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance and accurate reporting.
- Accounting Systems and Process Improvement:
- Utilize Zoho Books and other accounting software to manage financial data and reporting.
- Implement and maintain effective accounting systems, processes, and internal controls.
- Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Experience in migration from Tally to Zoho Books/ other accounting software will be an added advantage
- Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, providing guidance and support.
- Conduct performance evaluations and identify training and development needs.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with other departments to support cross-functional initiatives and projects.
- Provide financial insights and analysis to support business growth and decision-making.
Qualifications:
- Required:
- CA with a 6-8 years of experience in finance and accounting, with a proven track record in a similar role.
- Proficiency in Zoho Books and experience with other accounting software.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and taxation.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Preferred:
- Experience in the FMCG industry.
- Familiarity with new and emerging accounting software and technologies.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
