The Finance organization partners across General Mills to provide financial expertise to guide and govern the company. Purpose of the role

The Global Finance Reporting & Analytic Capabilities Team is leading the future of analytic tools and capabilities for our Global Finance Function. As the world of finance continues to see digital transformation, this is a unique opportunity to build a skill set and foundation differential from many peers in our space. As a Reporting & Analytics Global Process Lead, you will be responsible for the design, deployment, operation, and sustainability of a suite of global financial reporting and analytics tools. You will continuously improve and bring innovative thinking to the suite of tools to meet evolving business needs, partnering across the finance organization to assess requirements, and working with technical teams to design, execute, sustain and improve reporting and analytic solutions. In this role you will need to synthesize global perspectives and requirements into process, technology, and data design decisions, energize teams to embrace change, and effectively communicate with global stakeholders. The Finance Capabilities Team has been tasked to propel the Finance Function into the future and remain best in class at what we do! As we continue to lead exciting discovery initiatives and add business value - it is an energizing time to join the team!

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Manage global reporting capabilities (Lead a Complex Project & Transformation Initiative)

  • Project lead for capability enhancements, leading through the agile framework and ways of workingDesign, deploy, sustain, and mature global reporting solutions and standards consistent with the strategic vision and maturity roadmapPartner with Global Segment Leads to identify business requirements and coordinate interdependencies for process, data, and technology design across the FP&A capability teamPartner with finance users to determine business requirements, communicate and collaborate with Data & Technology Developers on a solution, develop launch plan, implement change management, and support user adoption of tool enhancements
  • Innovate, execute, and sustain global process design changes
  • Serve as global process SME for process, data, and technology
  • Operate the day to day process management and issue resolution

Global and cross-functional team leadership (Partnership for Impact & Matrix Relationship Management)

  • Partner with global business stakeholders and FP&A Capability Leaders to escalate and resolve issues and enhancements
  • Partner with technical team resources to develop and implement enhancements and new capabilities in the suite of Reporting & Analytics tools
  • Bring innovative thinking to this space, exploring new capabilities, accessing business needs, and collaborating on solutions

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Full Time graduation from an accredited university (Mandatory)
  • Professional Certification: B. Com
  • 7+ years of related experience

Specific Job Experience or Skills Needed

  • Strong communication, leadership, and influencing skills
  • Project management, learning mindset, and resourceful problem solving
  • Solid understanding of P&L planning and business process
  • Technical aptitude and interest in the digital landscape
  • Experience or exposure to commercial finance roles
  • Experience in planning and analysis, budgeting and forecasting leveraging our PEAK Processes
  • FP&A systems and capabilities experience (Tableau, AFO) or system proficiency (ability to get up to speed quickly)
  • Experience working on a cross-functional team

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master's degree
  • 7 to 9 years of related experience
  • Major Area of Study: Finance, Analytics, Accountancy, Costing
  • Professional Certifications: CA, MBA, PGDBA, MMS
